Electrical Commissioning Engineer

In line with their continued growth and expansion, they are actively seeking an experienced and capable Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join their progressive and dynamic team.

This permanent, hybrid role is based in Northumberland, with frequent offshore travel, and offers a unique opportunity to be part of cutting-edge engineering projects that support global subsea operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full lifecycle commissioning process for offshore equipment and systems, ensuring seamless deployment and operation

• Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules tailored to project requirements

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful integration and functional testing of complex offshore systems

• Perform on-site inspections and system verification, ensuring all components meet performance standards

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical or control-related technical issues both onshore and during offshore trials

• Deliver technical support and training to clients and end-users, ensuring proper operation and maintenance of deployed systems

• Document all commissioning activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions, and compile detailed technical reports

• Work closely with Project Owners to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering

• Demonstrated experience in commissioning within the offshore or marine engineering sectors

• Comprehensive technical knowledge of offshore systems and electrical equipment

• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interface with clients and multidisciplinary teams

• Willingness to travel to offshore sites and client locations as necessary
