Employee Relations Investigator

Description:

Capital One is seeking an Employee Relations Investigator to join their HR Shared Services (HRSS) team, delivering high-quality employee relations services and supporting a positive associate experience. The role involves investigating employment complaints, providing guidance to managers and HR business partners, and contributing to a fair, compliant, and inclusive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate all types of employment complaints, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, policy disputes, and appeals.

• Provide coaching and guidance to managers and associates to resolve workplace conflicts.

• Document investigation plans, interviews, summaries, and recommendations thoroughly and timely.

• Act as an objective resource on employment, performance, and policy issues.

• Tailor and deliver communications effectively to influence outcomes and mitigate risk.

• Participate in internal projects to improve investigative processes and maintain procedural documentation.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: Strong ER experience managing investigations and cases, consultation experience in unionized environments (desirable).

• Qualifications: Relevant HR qualifications such as CIPD Level 5 or above.

• Knowledge & Skills: Solid knowledge of UK employment law, experience with ACAS/Employment Tribunals, project/change management experience, excellent attention to detail, strong stakeholder influencing skills, independent judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.

Work Arrangement:

• Hybrid working model: office-based in Nottingham 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) with flexible working options.
