Employee Relations Specialist

Due to an ongoing expansion of our company, whereby we already have an established office in Paris and Berlin, we have recently completed an acquisition in Ireland and are planning to open more offices across Europe.

 

As such, the current HR and Compliance Team at Interr UK requires an additional staff member, an experienced HR practitioner in UK employment law and practices.

 

Our new colleague would be the first point of contact for all employee relations matters across the whole UK team – from site supervisors, control room, managers and directors, and offering employment law support and advice and reporting directly to the HR Manager.

 

This role is largely a home-based role, Monday to Friday from 08.00 am – 17.00 am. However, attendance of our Interr Head Office Aldgate East at least one day per week (this may increase to more as and when required on a temp/perm basis to two days per week at some point later this year), or any other location as deemed necessary by the Company is required.

 

Key responsibilities (not limited to):

 

- Be the first point of contact for general queries, but mostly employee relation matters, advising on discipline, grievance, sickness cases, meeting minutes, investigations and advising at formal hearings

- Working closely with Senior Management and Line Managers, advising across all levels on all staff issues

- Dealing with both complex and non-complex employee relation issues, including grievances, disciplinaries, performance management and dismissals

- Maintaining employee records, logs and all relevant information

- Support with HR projects, TUPE’s, and any project that come up within the HR and Compliance areas of responsibilities list HR areas

- Guide managers through short-term and long-term sickness, monitor progress and analyse health reports for effective absence management

- Work with the HR Assistants on the management of sickness absence, performance management, starters, exit interview information etc

- Provide information and advice to employees and managers on workplace procedures and employment legislation

- Supports the employee experience of Family related policies (maternity/paternity/parental leave)

- Answering HR and employee queries
