Ocado Technology is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to join its high-tech Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in Erith. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of cutting-edge automation systems within one of the UK’s most advanced logistics operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on highly automated systems within the CFC

• Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns swiftly and effectively

• Maintain and manage accurate data records through the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

• Support fault-finding and root cause analysis to improve system performance

• Work safely at height using access equipment

• Collaborate with engineers to improve the efficiency of Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE)

• Contribute to engineering KPIs and performance goals

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Engineering qualification or equivalent hands-on experience

• Technical understanding of automation hardware and software

• Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, and conveyor mechanisms

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working at height and committed to safety

• Effective communicator and team player

• Flexible to work 12-hour shifts across days, nights, and weekends to support 24/7 operations
