A leading financial services business is seeking an experienced Interim Compliance Consultant to provide vital support to its compliance function. The role will focus on strengthening frameworks, monitoring activities, and ensuring robust alignment with FCA regulatory requirements. Experience in consumer credit is preferred, with HCSTC knowledge desirable but not essential.

Duties & Experience required include:

• Proven compliance experience within financial services, ideally consumer credit.
• Knowledge of FCA regulations, including Consumer Duty, SM&CR, and consumer protection requirements.
• Strong track record in compliance monitoring and/or framework design and implementation.
• Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.
• Horizon scanning for regulatory developments, with ability to assess business impact.
• Providing practical compliance advice across the business and supporting training initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including policy/report writing.
• Hands-on, proactive, and collaborative approach, comfortable managing a wide range of compliance tasks.

Working Arrangements:

• Initial onboarding in Sheffield to build relationships and set objectives.
• Hybrid / flexible working thereafter, with scope for remote work.
