Exhibitions Registrar

Description:

The Major Projects & Exhibitions Department at the Ashmolean Museum is a lively and energetic department responsible for planning and delivering all major cross-museum gallery projects.

We are seeking maternity cover for our Exhibitions Registrar. This role will work closely with the Senior Registrar and Head of Major Projects & Exhibitions to deliver our busy programme of national and international outward loans, as well as working alongside the Exhibitions Team to manage the inward loans for our exciting and varied temporary exhibition programme.

You will be highly motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple loans and exhibitions at once. You will have art-handling experience and an understanding of standards and procedures required for the secure display and movement of artworks. You will be an effective communicator who can work well in a busy team environment with colleagues across the Ashmolean and in other museums, as well as external contractors and stakeholders.
