Finance Accounting Manager

Description:

An international consumer brand based in South London (3 days in office) is seeking a Finance Manager to join the business. This is an opportunity to join an market leading brand during a key time of finance transformation as they look to streamline processes in line with their strategic plans.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will manage a small team. The role takes ownership of one of the key divisions within the business and will have a strong focus on month-end, quarterly reporting and IFRS16 work. You will play a key part in finance projects, and they are looking for someone to drive change across their area of responsibility.

Responsibilities included:

• Managing and developing a small team
• Overseeing the accounting for one division
• Management of fixed assets and lease accounting under IFRS16
• Ownership of the balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close
• Supporting with the preparation of financial statements and working as a main point of contact for the auditors
• Driving process improvement across the division and wider group
• Project-based work including supporting the enhancement of their ERP system

Skill set required:

To be considered for this role, you will be a Qualified Accountant with post-qualified experience in industry and experience of IFRS16. You will have proven management experience either from practice or industry and examples of where you have driven change and automated processes. Knowledge of the consumer industry is beneficial but not essential. You will ideally have worked for a larger more complex business. Personality is key, you must be driven, a strong relationship builder, and not be afraid to drive change.
