Finance Manager

White Horse Employment are supporting a well known organisation in Swindon with the appointment of a Finance Manager which is a brand new role to join their growing finance team.

This is a reconciliation-focused finance leadership role, managing a small team and taking ownership of complex balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls and month-end delivery.

The Role

• Lead and develop a small team
• Review and approve complex balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved.
• Ensure reconciliations are completed and signed off accurately and on time.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls and accounting processes.
• Support month-end, year-end and audit processes.
• Review processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee cash management, payments and banking activities.
• Work across multiple systems and investigate issues arising from system interfaces.

About You

We're looking for a qualified accountant or equivalent with strong experience in a fast paced finance environment and a genuine strength in reconciliations and financial controls.

You'll ideally have:

• Proven experience reviewing complex reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of balance sheet accounting and double-entry.
• Previous team management experience.
• Experience improving processes and financial controls.
• Experience supporting audits.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
