Financial Controller

Description:

Integ are delighted to have been exclusively retained for a well-established sector leader as they look to hire a Financial Controller.

Reporting directly to the FD the Financial Controller will ensure financial information is available in a timely manner enabling robust business decision making, Oversee the finance team in day-to-day operations and ensure finance systems are fit for purpose enabling the accuracy of financial data for reporting and analytical purposes.

Responsibilities Include (but aren’t limited to):

• Preparation of budget and financial forecasting and reporting any variances.
• Produce monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
• Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
• Liaise with external auditors on statutory audit.
• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, bank and credit cards transaction posting and reconciliation.
• Post prepayments and accrual journals
• Post cost reallocation journals by cost centres
• To prepare stock reconciliation schedule and post month-end journals
• To prepare weekly cash flow forecast to aid and manage cashflow requirements
• To ensure business is compliant with statutory requirement of filing CIS return, VAT return by deadlines
• Work with the IT dept to identify and recommend suitable technology solutions to support financial modelling and controls
• Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
• Undertake ad hoc projects

Qualifications:

• Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
