Description:
Our client, a leading global Shipping & Commodities Trading group with headquarters in London, is seeking a driven and technically strong Financial Reporting Manager to join their high-performing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal role within a complex, international organisation operating in a fast-paced and dynamic sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on the preparation and review of consolidated group financial statements under IFRS
- Manage the quarterly and annual reporting cycles, ensuring compliance with external audit requirements and regulatory obligations
- Oversee the preparation of key disclosures and technical accounting papers for senior stakeholders and the Audit Committee
- Provide insightful analysis and commentary on group results for management and external reporting purposes
- Liaise with external auditors and advisors to support the smooth delivery of statutory and regulatory filings
- Partner with global business units to ensure accurate financial information flows into consolidation and reporting processes
- Support group budgeting and forecasting cycles with technical input and variance analysis
- Drive continuous improvement projects, including systems, processes, and controls enhancements across reporting functions
- Provide technical IFRS guidance to the wider finance team and business where required
Role Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent)
- Prior Big 4 or Top 10 practice experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidated group reporting
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
