Nicol Lane is representing a private equity-backed leader in the clean energy sector currently seeking to appoint a dynamic FP&A Manager for its London-based hybrid office. This full-time, permanent position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing finance team at a pivotal stage of the company's growth, midway through a PE life-cycle with strong prospects of being involved in an exit and new growth phase.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the FP&A Manager will be responsible for delivering financial insights and deep-dive analysis that support strategic decision-making. The role involves extensive budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and high-level reporting, particularly to key external stakeholders including private equity partners and joint ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.

  • Drive and refine long-term financial planning, providing proactive financial support to leadership.

  • Conduct thorough commercial and financial analysis to guide business decisions.

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models for various scenarios.

  • Prepare and present external financial reporting for PE firms, JV partners, and other stakeholders.

  • Create compelling, data-driven visual presentations to communicate financial performance and business narratives effectively.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified accountant (ACA or CIMA).

  • Proven experience in FP&A with strong analytical, modelling, and reporting skills.

  • Technologically proficient and data-savvy, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to transform data into actionable insights.

  • Experience within a PE-backed environment is a significant advantage.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present to senior stakeholders.
