Description:
Become part of over 1,000 years of history by joining the Warwick Castle team as a General Maintenance Handyperson. As Warwick Castle expands with the opening of the new Warwick Castle Hotel, your role will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the castle’s iconic grounds, the Knights Village, and its new 60-bedroom hotel. You will also play a key part in ensuring the Luxury Tower Suites remain in top condition.
In this varied and hands-on role, you will directly influence the guest experience and help ensure every visit to Warwick Castle is magical. You’ll be responsible for everything from routine maintenance to emergency repairs, ensuring the property remains safe, welcoming, and in optimal condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine planned preventative maintenance and inspections, including minor repairs across the castle and accommodations.
- Respond promptly to callouts and breakdowns, diagnose faults, and provide swift, high-quality solutions.
- Maintain and enhance plant, equipment, buildings, and infrastructure throughout the castle and hotel.
- Take ownership of tasks, ensuring they are completed to the highest standard.
- Handle a mix of tasks, including basic plumbing, carpentry, minor painting, and decoration.
- Act as the duty technician on a rota basis, being the main point of contact for resolving critical guest experience issues.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in a facilities maintenance role or as a professional tradesperson.
- Proactive attitude with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Desirable qualifications include IPAF and PASMA for working at height.
