General Manager

Description:

We're looking for a General Manager to run not one, but two engineering and distribution businesses in North West England - both in the plastics sector. You'll have the support, both financial and intellectual, of a large buy-and-build ownership group but, in essence, these are your businesses to manage and to grow.

In order to be successful in this role, you'll need to be a lot of things all at once. You'll be commercially-minded, potentially with a sales background, and be driven by growth. You'll be working within an engineering environment and with customers in that field, so you'll need to have a deep understanding of engineering and engineered products. You'll know your way around a P&L and be able to set a vision, strategy and business plan. What's more, you'll be a team player who can lead from the front.
