Global Account Manager

Description:

Cogent Communications, a multinational Tier 1 facilities-based ISP and one of the top five global networks, seeks a Global Account Manager. In this role, you will identify and secure new business opportunities globally, working closely with leading IT Decision Makers. Employing consultative selling techniques, you will position Cogent's connectivity solutions to clients, including IP transit, Wave connectivity, Ethernet, Colocation, and IPv4 services. This role requires proactive outreach through direct calling, email, and onsite meetings, ensuring client needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and secure new business opportunities in a global sales territory.
• Use direct calling, email outreach, and customer meetings to connect with Key Decision Makers.
• Employ consultative sales approaches to understand and address clients’ connectivity needs.
• Leverage Cogent’s extensive global network to position its services as the preferred choice.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM systems and manage customer relationships.

Qualifications:

• Telesales experience, with B2B sales experience as an advantage.
• Proven ability in proactive prospecting and business generation.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) for engaging Key Decision Makers.
• Self-motivated, positive, and proactive in a revenue-driven environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented setting with revenue goals.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Telecommunications experience or connectivity solutions knowledge is a plus.
• Foreign language skills are advantageous.

Work Environment:
This is an in-office position in London, UK, with a five-day workweek. The role provides focused mentorship, training, and personal coaching to support success.
