Global Account Manager

 

Description:

Cogent Communications, a multinational Tier 1 ISP, is seeking a Global Account Manager to drive new business opportunities worldwide. This role requires a consultative sales approach and strong relationship-building skills to position Cogent's high-speed internet and connectivity solutions to leading IT Decision Makers.

As a Global Account Manager, you will be responsible for proactive outreach, direct calling, email engagement, and onsite meetings to secure new clients. Your success will be measured by achieving monthly revenue targets and expanding Cogent’s market presence across commercial and retail buildings, carrier-neutral hotels, data centers, and colocation facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and acquire new business opportunities globally.
  • Engage key decision-makers through direct calling, emails, and client meetings.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to assess and address clients' current and future connectivity needs.
  • Promote Cogent’s services including IP Transit, Wave Connectivity, Ethernet, Colocation, and IPv4 services.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity records in CRM systems, managing customer relationships effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Telesales experience in any industry (B2B sales experience preferred).
  • Ability to identify, qualify, and generate leads through research and proactive outreach.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for engaging with key decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented with a competitive sales mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications and connectivity solutions is advantageous but not required.
  • Foreign language skills are beneficial in Cogent’s global sales model.
