Description:

We deliver Business and Economics A Levels (Edexcel and AQA respectively) and the Level 3 National Extended Certificate BTEC in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. All three options are popular amongst L6 and U6 pupils. You will be expected to teach at least 2 of the 3 subjects and oversee the provision of excellent teaching and learning across all three. You should also be confident in preparing pupils for study at the highest level beyond Lord Wandsworth College.

These subjects are integral to the life of many sixth formers and are viewed as a key part of our curricular offering by the Senior Leadership Team. Both A Levels are well established and our BTEC offering is increasingly popular. We also offer a range of co-curricular events, including trips, conferences, and seminars, as well as departmental and whole-school initiatives.

Teaching at LWC requires that members of the academic staff be willing to contribute fully to the life of the College. This includes tutoring, co-curricular involvement, boarding house duties, cover duties and attending parents’ evenings for the year groups taught. Liaison with parents is included in the sphere of the teacher’s responsibilities.
