Description:

Pickerings, a leading supplier of high-quality temporary and modular buildings, is currently hiring an HGV HIAB Driver to be based out of its Measham depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced driver with the right credentials to become part of a company known for its reliability and customer-first approach.

You will be tasked with delivering and collecting modular buildings and portable welfare units—up to sizes of 32ft x 10ft (9m x 3m)—using a modern Scania or Volvo truck equipped with a FASSI 660 lorry loader.

This is an on-site, temporary position with regular hours from Monday to Friday, starting between 5:30am and 7:30am, and may include occasional overnight stays or weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate HGV with mounted HIAB crane to deliver and collect modular buildings across various client locations

• Adhere to health and safety protocols during transport and handling

• Maintain high levels of customer service and professional conduct while on-site

• Ensure proper usage and logging of tachograph and other driver records

• Cooperate with logistics coordinators for efficient scheduling and delivery routes

Essential Requirements:

• Class 1 / C+E driving license

• Valid Digital Tachograph Card and Driver CPC

• Good geographical knowledge and practical logistics awareness

• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

• Ability to work early shifts and occasional weekends/nights

• ALLMI Lorry Loader accreditation D1+E Hook (or equivalent) preferred

• Experience with wagon and drag setups desirable
