At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us as a HGV Technician, you’ll play a vital role in keeping specialist emergency vehicles operational. This is a field‑based role working across sites in the Luton, Bedfordshire area, and is well‑suited to candidates based in Luton, Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes or Northampton who are within a comfortable commuting distance.

The role

As a HGV Technician, you’ll deliver first-class servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles and specialist fire service equipment to MOT and operational standards.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
 

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs, LGVs, and fire service modules.
• Diagnose faults using recognised test procedures, including road testing where required.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and ISO standards.
• Record work progress accurately using company IT systems and liaise with the managed service centre and manage / schedule you own workload
• Travel to locations within your specified work area to deliver maintenance support.
