Description:

We’re looking for someone to support our managers and employees, contributing to the creation of a positive working environment and dealing effectively with any people related issues. You will support the on boarding of top talent and work with the Head of People to ensure that we motivate, engage, develop and retain our talent. We’re looking for someone who can contribute to creating a great working culture at Cheil. There are plenty of projects and initiatives to get stuck into alongside the day to day, which will help deliver the HR agenda and contribute to the agency’s overall vision.

You will have a passion for HR, delivering best in service to internal stakeholders of all levels and understand the importance in positioning HR and talent as a partner to the business and its success.

The HR Advisor role will be a core part of a HR & Talent team which is re-establishing itself. You will be required to partner with and consistently support the Team in delivering initiatives to enhance the Cheil’s Employer Value Proposition, achieving compliance and improving the employee experience.

The HR Advisor will tackle tasks head on with a solution focused attitude and commercial mindset, continuously collaborating with, and supporting the rest of the HR & Talent team.

Your attitude will be one of a calm, measured approach under pressure, with the ability to juggle and adapt to multiple, tight deadlines.

What the day to day looks like…

Employee Relations and HR Advice
 

  • Independently manage a range of employee relations issues e.g. sickness, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, TUPE
  • Effectively provide support and guidance to managers in all aspects of the employee life cycle from hire to exit, as appropriate
  • Be an expert in our HR policies and procedures and offer advice and guidance to employees and managers
  • Keep up to date with the evolution of employment law ensuring that Cheil are fulfilling its legal obligations at all times. Responsible for updating all HR policies, communicating employment legislation changes as required
  • Work with the Team on compliance projects and audit requests
     

Onboarding and Induction
 

  • Oversee the starter and induction process and ensure best practice and continually review for improvements
  • Ensure the induction programme is managed and successfully delivered
  • Manage the probation process closely with line managers and new joiners
  • Work with the Head of People in devising a leading agency onboarding experience
     

Performance Management & Training and Development
 

  • Support the Head of People in developing the training and development agenda, including researching and booking training courses
  • Support Head of People in delivering the Cheil Performance Management and People development strategy (includes Leadership)
  • Support the Team in the development and implementation of internal training workshops and courses
  • Understand the existing Global HQ Management Policies and framework; this includes the appraisal process and salary review process, ensuring all requirements are met
  • Ensure that the appraisal process is completed on time and training needs are collated
  • Support managers in identifying training needs and following up with relevant activity
