We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (Operations) to join our People & Performance team. Acting as a trusted partner to operational managers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a positive, high‑performing, and compliant working environment.
Principle duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Act as the dedicated HR Business Partner for operational teams across Psicon, building strong, trusted relationships with managers and becoming their go-to partner for people-related matters.
- Own and manage the full lifecycle of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, and complex workplace matters. The Head of People & Performance acts as escalation point for high-risk or sensitive matters.
- Actively spot trends and themes across ER cases, using data to identify root causes and drive improvements in how the business manages people matters. Share findings with the People & Performance team to inform strategic planning and proactively address emerging risks.
- Lead and support the delivery of employee engagement initiatives that align to Psicon’s values and strategic people priorities.
- Support the design and delivery of L&D initiatives that build manager capability and support employee development across operational teams. Identify learning needs, facilitate workshops or briefings where appropriate, and work in partnership with the L&D Manager.
- Contribute to People team projects that enhance culture, engagement, and the overall employee experience. Work closely with colleagues across the wider People team, sharing knowledge and continuously improving how the P&P function supports the business.
Person Specification
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner, ideally within an operational or ER‑focused remit.
- Strong end‑to‑end employee relations experience, including complex and sensitive cases.
- Solid working knowledge of UK employment law.
- Ability to operate calmly and effectively in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
- Experience supporting engagement, performance, and people initiatives.
- Confidence using HR systems and people data to inform decision‑making.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in a healthcare or regulated environment is highly desirable.
