Our client is currently seeking an HR Director for the UK, the successful applicant will report directly General Manager for the UK.

 

This is a hybrid position, offering 1 day of working from home. This role oversees a team of 5 people, including an HR Manager with an employee population of around 300.

 

Our client is seeking an HRD that can be highly strategic whilst being an operational and hands-on business partner.

 

The Role

  • Responsibility for delivering a commercial, group-aligned 360-degree Human Resources service across all allocated client groups, ensuring the timely and accurate execution of all employee lifecycle processes
  • Maintenance and accountability of day-to-day Human Resources functions, supported by a team of 5, ensuring service is provided in an accurate and timely manner, complying with internal processes and policies, and meeting service level agreements
  • Ensure the integrity of employee data and documentation, ensuring this is up to date and accurate. To confidently lead employee relations cases, including actively leading disciplinary and grievance hearings as required, and within designated timeframes
  • To be an expert in implementing employee relations procedures, providing support on employee relations issues across the business as required
  • To provide proactive and creative people solutions, which strike the right balance from both an employee and commercial perspective and lead on the successful implementation and execution of organizational change work, including restructures and TUPE.
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data on the HR system, ensuring regular spot-checks and reporting to enable this to be maintained at a first-class standard.
  • Foster and manage positive relationships with third-party providers, including overseeing the completion of payroll processes as required, ensuring that the relevant information is effectively communicated and checked. This includes assuring audit requirements are met.
  • Proactively manage and cultivate positive, collaborative relationships with HODs, Directors, and business leads, ensuring regular dialogue, and appropriate, timely solutions are provided to various people-related matters.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Professional CIPD Qualification (level 5)
  • 3 years solid experience in employee relations, including leading disciplinary/grievance hearings Experience within a generalist HR role as a Senior Advisor or Manager
  • Good-rounded Employment Law knowledge
  • Knowledge of HR-related concepts, with translation to practical implementation
  • Ability to work at all levels of the organization and develop relationships throughout the business to foster two-way communications
