Description:

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and compassionate HR Advisor to join a dynamic team in Plymouth. Reporting to the Head of People, the HR Advisor will play a critical role in managing employee relations, absence management, recruitment, and routine HR matters. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with stakeholders across all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.

  • Oversee absence and leave policies, including short-term and long-term sick leave management.

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.

  • Support recruitment processes, from handling queries to interviewing and selecting candidates.

  • Manage employee well-being, grievances, disciplinaries, and inductions.

  • Prepare and distribute documents on HR policies and procedures.

  • Work with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to source and assess candidates.

  • Assist in new employee onboarding and induction via the L&D team.

  • Conduct investigations and provide advice on complex employee relations issues.

  • Perform HR administration tasks, including managing apprentice programs and employee lifecycle events like promotions, transfers, and exits.

  • Handle HR queries and ensure sensitive data is managed appropriately.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • CIPD Level 3 certification or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR, covering multiple disciplines.

  • Strong HR knowledge, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

  • Integrity, flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and a team-player mindset.

  • Ability to adopt a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and suggest process improvements.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
