Pearl & Dean Cinemas Ltd are recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. P&D currently use an HR service contract and this is the first time that the company will have a dedicated HR professional for a number of years, so although there are processes and structures already in place, the candidate will have the opportunity to really make a difference.

This role is based in the office in central London and reports to the CEO of Pearl & Dean.

The capability to prioritize workloads, work to deadlines, promote corporate values and support a positive culture is crucial. Experience of working within an SME, ideally within the media sector, is desired. Passion for film is a plus!

What you will be doing?

  • Develop, implement and maintain current HR policies and procedures, in order to drive the people/business plan forward
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • End-to-end recruitment and advising on recruitment strategy
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation
  • Guide, coach and support the senior leadership and line managers in developing employees and managing performance reviews
  • Managing all aspects of Employee Relations and developing relevant policies in accordance with legal framework
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee, manage & maintain objectives & performance appraisals for all employees
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits programs
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to senior management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

 

What we're looking for?

  • Proven working experience as HR Manager
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, processes, and best practices
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics, HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels with the ability to flex your style in various situations
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and flexible to adapt easily
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude through all situations with a ‘can-do’ mentality
  • Open minded and happy to get involved where required.
  • Superb attention to detail, organizational skills and time management to meet deadlines
  • Ability to be discreet and professional when handling sensitive and highly confidential information
  • A true ambassador and representation of the Pearl & Dean brand
