Hydro Operations Team Leader

SSE Renewables operate the largest fleet of hydro-electric power assets across eight hydro schemes in Scotland. Our portfolio totals 1,459MW of installed capacity, which includes pumped storage and flexible hydro. Our assets consist of some of the most iconic power station sites constructed, which brought hydro-electric power to the Scottish Glens 80 years ago.
 

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have;
 

• Experience in working in Hydro Generation environment or with similar heavy rotating plant.
• A recognised qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline is preferred, but more importantly, you must have extensive hands-on experience in an electrical or mechanical engineering environment. You will have the opportunity to work towards an HNC level qualification if required.
• Managerial experience with the ability to negotiate and influence a variety of stakeholders across varying levels of seniority.
