The Child Protection in Sport Unit is part of the NSPCC Professional Learning Services team within Income Generation and is a unique initiative to support the capacity of sport and activity providers to safeguard all children and young people.

We are looking to recruit an information officer to join our team on a fixed term contract. The post holder will produce safeguarding and child protection information for the Child Protection in Sport Unit website and to co-ordinate and develop content on a variety of platforms.

The Ambition Is For The Child Protection In Sport Unit To Become a Market Leader And The Go To Platform For Adults Involved In Sport To Support Them To Better Protect Children And Young People From Abuse. We Aim To Increase Our Opportunity To Make An Impact
 

  • to reach, engage with and educate as many professional and volunteers as possible
  • to create content that will help children and young people be safer in sport
  • to support adults in sport understand safeguarding in their environment
     

The post holder will work in our busy information team, writing content, supporting the development of webinars, podcasts, and the day-to-day management of our website copy.

The ideal candidate would have experience of using content management systems and have excellent editing, proofreading and written communications skills, including the ability to summarise and present complex information clearly, accurately and concisely.
