Description:
Barnsley Council is seeking a Guitar/Ukulele Music Tutor to join their Growth & Sustainability Directorate, working within the Regeneration and Culture service. The role involves teaching instrumental music to children in primary and secondary schools across the borough. This is a permanent role on Teachers’ terms and conditions, offering a term-time working pattern with school holidays, access to a Teachers’ pension, and a laptop.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach guitar/ukulele to whole classes of Key Stage Two children in primary schools
Teach guitar to small groups (3–4 children) and individuals in primary and secondary schools throughout Barnsley
Work two days per week, including Friday
Support the music service team and contribute to high-quality music education across the borough
