Instrumentation Technician

 

Description:

As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be part of the Land Installation team where you will work within the Site team supporting trails and ensuring the safety of the site.

Day-to-day, you’ll take part in trails as part of a team and a larger QinetiQ team operating installation equipment with the opportunities to learn new skills along the way.

Your responsibilities will include:
 

  • Setting up and preparing ranges in accordance with the relevant documentation
  • Ensuring robust application of Health, Safety & Environmental procedures and processes
  • Carrying out duties in a safe compliant manner
  • Ensuring compliance with Risk Assessments and Task instructions
  • Carrying out general duties as a QinetiQ member of staff
  • Maintaining core module skills and training (manual handling etc)

     

Essential experience of the Instrumentation Technician:
 

  • Proven ability to solve problems
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety
  • The ability to work to set processes
  • Poven experience working as part of a team and working independently where appropriate
  • Hands-on experience with work equipment and hand tools
  • The ability to be Computer/IT Literate is essential

     

Essential qualifications for the Instrumentation Technician:
 

  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Good standard of GCSE-level mathematics
