Interim Head Of Sustainability

Acre is partnering with a private markets fund to hire an Interim Head of Sustainability for their private credit business on an intitial 6 month assignment. Our client has a demonstrable track record and commitment to sustainability/ESG integration to support risk management and improve financial performance. Sustainability is considered an important part of building lasting value in the funds' portfolio companies.

This is a rare opportunity for someone with experience of sustainability/ESG in the credit space who would like to pivot and gain experience in a highly regarded international private markets business.

Working across a variety of credit strategies, you'll lead on aspects of sustainability throughout the investment lifecycle and mentor/team manage.

Responsibilities

• Working with investment teams during pre-investment ESG due diligence
• Engagement with companies pre- and post-investment
• Oversight of sustainability monitoring and reporting (to LPs, regulators)
• Engagement with investors
• Contributing to investment committees and internal working groups as required

Profile

• Sustainability/ESG knowledge or experience gained in the credit space in a transaction context
• Clear understanding of ESG integration across credit strategies and familiarity with ESG margin ratchets
• A commercial approach to ESG/sustainability
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement, relationship building and influencing
• Confident and collaborative working in small teams and broad cross-functional groups
