Interim Technical Accountant

Grant Thornton UK is inviting applications for the role of Interim Technical Accountant within its Agile Talent Community. The Agile Talent Community is a network of contract professionals who work on a project-by-project basis alongside Grant Thornton teams and clients, supported by the dedicated Agile Talent team.

This role is based in Oxford and Thames Valley, offering hybrid working with 2–3 days on-site. Engagement can be via Personal Service Company / Limited Company, with IR35 status determined per assignment. The day rate ranges from £300 - £650 per day depending on experience and project.

The Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team focuses on interim finance professionals providing on-demand, project-focused accounting services for clients across diverse industries, from large SMEs to multi-billion corporations and listed entities.

As an Interim Technical Accountant, you will:

• Work alongside client finance teams on short to medium-term projects.

• Support preparation of monthly management accounts, half and full-year-end accounts, and statutory accounts.

• Consolidate group accounts and manage intercompany accounting.

• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or other international GAAP).

• Liaise with auditors and contribute to audits as required.
