Inventory Accountant

Description:

Airbus Operations Limited is seeking a dynamic Inventory Accountant to join their team in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on a hybrid basis. The role involves working closely with the Accounting team to deliver accurate financial information, ensure the robustness of inventory processes, and maintain proper stock valuation. The Inventory Accountant will support monthly closings, reporting, and ensure internal controls align with Airbus ERM requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Due Diligence on the opening balance sheet

• Load assets into SAP with correct data attributes

• Define and document key financial processes and controls

• Ensure accuracy of inventory on balance sheet, including stock valuation and provisioning

• Monthly closing and reporting of inventory levels, stock coverage, and monitoring slow/non-moving stock

• Engage with financial controllers and operational stakeholders to address inventory-related issues

• Apply IFRS in line with Group Accounting Policies

• Monitor internal controls, inventory counts, and report risks/opportunities via ERM tool

Requirements / Skills:

• Qualified Accountant with minimum 5 years PQE

• Understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP

• Experience with SAP or equivalent financial reporting tools

• Strong communication skills for multi-level and international stakeholders

• Proactive, positive mindset with a continuous improvement approach

• Experience interacting with internal and external audit teams
