Laing O'Rourke is looking for an IT Change & Performance Lead to help manage risk, build confidence in technology change, and strengthen how IT engages with the wider business. The role leans more towards change management with performance forming a smaller portion of the role.

This is a highly visible role requiring sound judgement, emotional intelligence, and the ability to bring people together around clear, well‑communicated decisions.

Role Overview

Reporting into IT leadership, the IT Change & Performance Lead owns the end‑to‑end IT Change Management process and leads IT performance reporting and insight. You will act as a trusted point of coordination between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring change is well planned, clearly communicated, and delivered with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Own and lead the IT Change Management process, ensuring changes are assessed, prioritised, and delivered safely
  • Chair and facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB), enabling balanced, informed decision‑making
  • Build strong relationships with technical teams and business stakeholders, acting as a calm and credible point of contact
  • Communicate change impacts clearly and confidently, adapting style for different audiences
  • Lead IT performance reporting, dashboards, and insight to support transparency and continuous improvement
     

Skills & Experience
 

  • Proven experience leading IT Change Management in a complex environment
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and service management practices
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation skills
  • High levels of emotional intelligence, judgement, and resilience
  • Experience working with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
