IT Operations & Security Engineer
Location: London 

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced IT Operations & Security Engineer to join an established professional organisation based in Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual to play a key role in strengthening IT infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity and delivering improvements across a modern Microsoft environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimise Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM and Active Directory environments.

Support infrastructure operations across cloud and on-premises systems.
Monitor security threats, vulnerabilities and incidents, implementing appropriate remediation.

Maintain and improve security controls, including Microsoft Defender and Cyber Essentials Plus.

Develop PowerShell scripts to automate operational processes.
Support disaster recovery, business continuity and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
Manage third-party IT suppliers and ensure effective service delivery.
Contribute to IT governance, risk management and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For:
Strong experience across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
Hands-on knowledge of Intune, SCCM and VMware.
Experience managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
Good understanding of cybersecurity, endpoint protection and vulnerability management.
PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management.
Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
ITIL Foundation and Microsoft MCSE or equivalent qualifications; Cisco certifications are advantageous.
