Java Developer

Description:

We are looking for senior, mid-level and junior level Java developers to join the team and support us in creating mission critical solutions for our exciting range of projects and programmes within the space sector.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Working with a highly experienced team, the successful candidate will be able to work in an agile environment, delivering excellent quality code against customer requirements and responding well to change. You will take responsibility appropriate to their seniority for the design of their code and review of others’, and be able to test their code rigorously. They will work with the test team to identify, prioritise and fix any defects before delivery to the customer. They will take part in internal and customer workshops to plan, review, and problem-solve.
 

• Writing well designed and efficient code
• Contribute in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Working closely with the project team including testing / design authority / project management, to ensure all work is completed to the required standard
• Deliver new capability to a broad range of Mission Critical solutions across our exciting portfolio of projects.
• Produce and update documentation at a defined standard.
   

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
 

• Hand-on Commercial Java Development experience
• Working in an agile environment
• Strong knowledge of the SDLC
• Excellent Problem-Solving solving ability and development Logic.
• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
• No Previous experience of the Space Domain Required!
