Description:
Catalent Pharma and Consumer Health (PCH) is seeking a Junior Business Development Specialist to support regional growth by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, identifying new business targets, and expanding the customer base. The role is remote but UK-based and reports to the Regional Director of Business Development. The candidate will assist in prospecting, participate in onsite and client meetings, support regional territory plans, and gain experience in negotiating and closing business opportunities under guidance.
Identify and engage potential clients through cold calling, networking, and research.
Support regional sales team in developing and executing sales strategies.
Participate in onsite and customer meetings with sales team members.
Present and promote CDMO services to prospective clients.
Assist in contract negotiations and closing deals under guidance.
Maintain accurate CRM records, track customer interactions, and report on sales activities.
Attend industry events and trade shows to generate leads.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Follow Catalent’s ethical standards and values in all interactions.
Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or related field; advanced scientific degree or MBA advantageous but not essential.
1–3 years relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, or customer-facing roles; pharma or consumer health experience preferred.
Strong hunter mentality, willingness to learn, and ability to develop expertise in CDMO sales.
Excellent English communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn CRM and other sales software.
Self-motivated, target-driven, highly organized, and able to manage multiple client relationships.
Collaborative team player with initiative and adaptability.
Willingness to travel frequently (approx. 60% of the time) to meet client needs.
