The Junior Management Accountant will join a leading national media group in Workington, supporting the finance team with hands-on accounting experience while receiving full study support and mentorship for ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications. The role provides exposure to end-to-end accounting processes, financial reporting, and analysis in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end accounting for various P&L elements.

• Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.

• Prepare journals with strong supporting documentation.

• Collaborate with FP&A and Commercial Finance teams to deliver actionable insights.

• Perform month-on-month and year-on-year variance analysis on P&L and balance sheet activity.

• Support delivery of Landlord Revenue Share Statements and ad hoc reporting.

• Identify and implement process improvements.

• Assist with documentation and compliance of control processes.

Requirements / About You:

• AAT qualified or currently studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA (full study support provided).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organised, able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent Excel and ERP system knowledge (ERP experience is a bonus).

• Analytical, detail-oriented, and focused on continuous improvement.

• Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work across multiple departments.

Benefits:

• Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per year (~£2500 – £2916 per month)
