Description:
As a Laboratory Technician, you will offer technical support to the global sealants business with respect to both operational and customer requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Support team members in development, manufacture, application and testing of products to meet business requirements.
- Manufacture product samples using laboratory scale equipment in a safe manner.
- Apply test pieces following defined methods to high and consistent standards.
- Perform routine qualitative and quantitative tests to standard procedures.
- Assist team members in set up, use and cleaning of laboratory equipment.
- Carry out other work as required according to the Task Request System.
- Take ownership for replenishment of raw materials and consumables.
- Input formulations into site MRP system.
- Carry out daily responsibilities relating to EHS, 5S and other Company initiatives.
Knowledge & Skills
- Currently in their 2nd year of university studying for a degree in a related field
- Scientific background.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Interpersonal skills
- IT literate
