Pegasus Group, a nationally recognized consultancy firm in sustainable development and environmental planning, is seeking qualified and enthusiastic Senior to Associate Level Landscape Planners for their Lichfield Office. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals who are passionate about creating and preserving landscapes that shape communities and support sustainable growth.
As a part of the Environment Team, the selected candidates will contribute to a wide range of prominent and complex development projects. The role emphasizes both strategic planning and detailed assessment, and it requires close collaboration with barristers, planning professionals, and internal multidisciplinary teams. The position offers a platform to apply your expertise to real-world planning challenges across sectors such as energy, residential, infrastructure, and beyond.
Undertake and lead the production of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments (TVIA) for planning applications and appeals.
Conduct landscape appraisals, greenbelt and greybelt assessments, and feasibility studies for various development sites.
Prepare comprehensive supporting landscape statements, visual assessments, and mitigation strategies aligned with policy and design best practices.
Contribute to the development of strategic design principles based on site analysis and environmental considerations.
Work on planning appeal cases, including coordination with legal teams and preparation of expert visual material and reports.
Collaborate with other departments across Pegasus Group to ensure integrated project delivery.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of independence, while mentoring junior colleagues as needed.
Develop client relationships and provide expert advice on landscape planning matters.
Apply commercial acumen to manage projects effectively, ensuring that work is delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
A degree or postgraduate diploma in Landscape Architecture or a closely aligned discipline.
Must be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
A solid track record in producing LVIA, TVIA, feasibility studies, and mitigation design for planning submissions.
Experience working in the residential and energy sectors is highly desirable.
Proficiency in technical report writing, spatial analysis, and environmental impact evaluation.
Strong organizational, time management, and project leadership skills.
A proactive, strategic thinker with an eye for both detail and the big picture.
