Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Project Manager to own end‑to‑end delivery for engineering and manufacturing projects. You’ll lead a team of project managers and coordinators, drive excellent customer outcomes, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed quality standards.
You will run a high‑performing department that balances people leadership, project governance and continuous improvement across internal and external customer projects.
- Lead and develop a team of project managers and coordinators, giving clear direction and driving performance.
- Run a successful project delivery department serving both internal and external customers.
- Create realistic, optimized project plans that maximize outcomes and secure resource allocation.
- Manage project budgets, risks and progress with clear forecasting and control.
- Maintain strong stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle and act as the primary client contact.
- Work with supply chain partners to improve quality, cost and delivery (QCD); typical client project value is under £1m.
Qualifications You’ll be accountable for the full project lifecycle, process adherence and continuous enhancement of delivery methods.
- Lead end‑to‑end project delivery from initiation through final handover, including detailed timelines and milestone tracking.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to secure resources and ensure installations meet specifications.
- Follow internal processes, maintain accurate documentation and provide required reporting.
- Manage project budgets and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect schedule and cost.
- Monitor project performance against objectives, ensuring successful FAT and SAT and high client satisfaction.
- Identify and implement improvements to project management practices and client experience while empowering team development.
