Legal Counsel

A fast-growing fintech company looking for an experienced Interim In-House Counsel to join our legal team for an initial 3–6 month period. This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to make a real impact, working closely with our sales and operations teams The Role

You’ll be the third member of our legal team, supporting a wide range of commercial contract matters. Your primary focus will be reviewing and negotiating supplier and client contracts—typically using our own templates, but occasionally working from client contracts, which can require substantial revisions.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing, negotiating, and finalising software and service agreements
• Managing a pipeline of contracts—some active, others needing a push to completion
• Collaborating closely with the sales team to support deal flow
• Reviewing legacy contracts and assisting with legal reporting
• Advising on contract risks and proposing practical solutions

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years PQE with strong experience in commercial contracts, ideally in-house within fintech, SaaS, or tech-driven environments
• Comfortable working with both standard templates and client-drafted contracts
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

While the focus is commercial contracts, there’s scope to get involved in other areas such as employment law, property, or general corporate matters—ideal for someone looking to broaden their in-house experience.
