Logistics Coordinator

Description:

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation, a family-owned business for over 75 years, is a leading provider of high voltage power solutions. They support world-leading manufacturers in medical devices, semiconductors, scientific analytics, and industrial systems. The company is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to manage the timely despatch of assemblies and finished products, ensuring that performance targets are met using environmental and lean methodologies associated with logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with Manufacturing management daily to identify finished goods ready for shipment using the Shipping Visual Schedule

• Coordinate with the Sales Department to keep customers informed about expected shipments

• Produce daily and weekly shipment plans to meet on-time deliveries and KPIs

• Handle unloading and loading of vehicles

• Ensure packaging is completed securely and in an environmentally conscious manner

• Reuse packaging from received goods for customer shipments, ensuring compliance with COSHH/ISO14001 Regulations for disposal

• Maintain familiarity with export regulations and paperwork requirements for smooth international shipments

• Adhere to the Company’s ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems

Key Skills:

• Good numeracy and literacy with previous material handling and FLT (Counterbalance) experience

• Strong interpersonal, written, and time management skills

• Ability to solve problems and seek alternative solutions

• Knowledge of using multiple courier websites and software for global despatch

• Competent in IT skills, particularly MS Outlook/Excel/Word and Access

• Knowledge of CTPAT for maintaining current customs clearance

• Attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• A team player with a hands-on approach
