Maintenance Technician

 

Description:

Responsibilities:

 

  • Carry out front-line maintenance on a wide range of production equipment.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and carry out follow-up work to prevent repeat issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using performance data like downtime and OEE.
  • Assist with the integration of new equipment and technology into the site.
  • Work on systems such as HVAC, compressed air, boilers, chillers, and process machinery.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, GMP, and housekeeping.
  • Record work carried out on the maintenance management system.
  • Support and monitor service contractors when needed.
  • Ensure changes to equipment are accurately recorded and documented.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Good understanding of site utilities and infrastructure (e.g. HVAC, fire systems, LV systems).
  • Comfortable working in a regulated or controlled environment.
  • Familiar with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS-7671).
  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA, and CMMS (e.g. Maximo) is a bonus.
  • Competent with MS Office; CAD and MS Project skills are an advantage.
  • Compex training or awareness is desirable.
