Maintenance Technician

Description:

The University of Warwick is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Maintenance Technician (Electrical bias) to join the Estates Department at the Innovation Campus, Stratford-Upon-Avon. This role involves delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across campus facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operation of electrical, mechanical, and building fabric systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out statutory testing, planned maintenance, and reactive repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.

• Undertake building fabric repairs and contribute to the upkeep of campus facilities.

• Provide outstanding customer service while ensuring safe and compliant operations.

• Focus primarily on electrical trade specialism while supporting wider maintenance requirements as part of a multiskilled team.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with University and statutory standards.

Required Skills and Attributes:

• Qualified electrician or multiskilled tradesperson with strong electrical expertise.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented approach.

• Flexibility to carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks.

• Strong understanding of health and safety, compliance, and statutory maintenance standards.

Contract & Location Details:

• Full-time, permanent role.

• Majority of time required on campus due to the operational nature of the role.

• Based primarily at the University’s Innovation Campus, Stratford-Upon-Avon.

• Only open to current University of Warwick employees, redeployment register candidates, Graduate Teaching Assistants, and Unitemps staff.
