Management Accountant

Description:

A Management Accountant is required to work for a well-renowned, retail conglomerate, based in Southwest London (4 days in the office). This is an opportunity to work for a household name & multichannel retailer that has shown strong financial performance and that has a clear 3-year growth strategy including expanding their product range and driving e-commerce revenues.

The Senior Management Accountant is an integral role and will take ownership of the accounting for the property and payroll P&L lines. You will be partnering closely with non-finance stakeholders including Store Managers and Marketing and will be focused on providing the business with detailed analysis around Opex costs.

Responsibilities will include:

• Management of the month-end for retail and marketing
• Business partnering with various non-finance stakeholders including Head of Property and Store Managers
• Provide detailed analysis to the business on costs
• Assisting with the preparation of reports
• Preparation of the budget for both rent and margins

Skill set required:

The successful candidate will be a Part-qualified Accountant with experience working in industry where you have prepared management accounts or working in practice where you have managed the accounts preparation for clients. You will have experience working for a business of £50 million turnover plus, knowledge of the retail or property sector is desirable. The ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders across the business is key to this role. You will be proactive in nature with the confidence to drive change and will thrive at working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
