Lajac Group, a European leader in industrial process ventilation and dust extraction, is seeking an experienced Managing Director / Commercial Director to establish and lead Lajac Spain & Portugal. This senior leadership position combines strategic business development with operational management, driving growth and ensuring the company becomes the partner of choice for industries requiring clean, efficient, and safe working environments.

Lajac operates across Sweden, England, France, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Finland, and Austria, providing innovative solutions for dust handling, material transportation, welding fume extraction, oil mist separation, and central vacuum cleaning. With decades of expertise, strong stockholding, and reliable delivery, the company is trusted across multiple industrial sectors.

The new Director will play a central role in expanding the company’s footprint across Spain and Portugal, building strong customer relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring operational excellence while aligning with the wider European network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and grow Lajac’s presence in Spain and Portugal.

• Drive sales, commercial growth, and customer partnerships across industrial sectors.

• Manage P&L, budgeting, and local operations effectively.

• Identify new market opportunities in woodworking, metalworking, welding, and dust/fume-intensive industries.

• Recruit, develop, and lead a small but growing local team.

• Work closely with Lajac’s European teams to align strategies and share best practices.

• Represent the Lajac brand with professionalism, ensuring high standards in technical consultation, service, and delivery.

Candidate Profile:

• Entrepreneurial and driven leader with strong commercial acumen.

• Demonstrated success in sales and business development, preferably in industrial solutions, ventilation, or filtration sectors.

• Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to balance strategic growth and operational execution.

• Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese with strong English communication skills.

• Technical understanding of industrial systems desirable, though not mandatory.

• Well-connected within relevant industrial networks considered an advantage.
