Marketplace Executive

Description:

MacGregor Black, in partnership with a leading DIY/Trade brand, is seeking a talented Marketplace Executive to manage and optimise their eBay operations. This is a permanent, on-site role in Southampton, requiring strong commercial awareness, exceptional e-commerce expertise, and the ability to craft bulletproof online marketplace strategies.

In this position, you will work closely with the Marketplace Manager to develop, implement, and refine the eBay strategy, ensuring operational excellence while integrating industry best practices. You will act as the key driver for eBay growth, profitability, and strategic alignment across European markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the eBay account strategy, ensuring it is effective, competitive, and aligned with brand goals.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and operational efficiency.

• Refine and adapt commercial strategies to align seamlessly with brand positioning in various markets.

• Collaborate with regional teams to address local market requirements and customer expectations.

• Negotiate high-value terms to maximise business profitability and strengthen partnerships.

• Manage pricing, cost structures, and margins using a strong understanding of eBay’s business model and algorithms.

• Monitor account performance across Europe, ensuring KPIs are consistently met and exceeded.

• Optimise Amazon listings, perform in-depth keyword research, and maintain listing consistency across platforms.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years’ proven experience managing eBay accounts at a strategic level.

• Comprehensive knowledge of eBay tools, programs, and operational models.

• Strong commercial acumen with an ability to convert business needs into operational plans.

• Excellent negotiation skills with experience handling high-value accounts.

• Analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and decision-making.

• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.

• Familiarity with other marketplaces (such as Amazon) is advantageous.
