My client is a leading Tier 1 Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Contractor, known for delivering large-scale, high-profile construction projects across the UK. The company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager for a major commercial building project in Central London. This is one of the most significant ventures in the city, and the project is currently in its early stages, offering long-term job security as MEP installation is not expected to begin until mid-2027. Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day mechanical construction activities, ensuring work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors, ensuring high performance and productivity.
Coordinate with project stakeholders, including electrical teams, architects, consultants, and clients, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Review and approve mechanical design and installation plans, ensuring they meet the project’s specifications.
Oversee the procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project budgets.
Ensure all mechanical work meets the highest quality standards, conducting regular inspections and audits.
Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients, highlighting milestones and addressing any issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence on-site.
