Description:
This role is ideal for a mechanical engineer with strong hands-on experience who is looking to transition into a surveying career focused on testing and inspecting lifting equipment. The position offers a clear training path to become an “Engineering Surveyor,” supported by extensive world-class training and development investment by the employer.
The successful candidate will leverage their mechanical knowledge to inspect and ensure the safety of lifting equipment across a wide range of industries including marine, agriculture, manufacturing, power plants, and airports. You will manage your own diary, visiting multiple sites to test and inspect equipment to ensure compliance and safety.
Applicants should have at least an HNC qualification or equivalent and be willing to learn new skills related to inspections and testing. Knowledge of lifting equipment, mobile plant, and relevant safety regulations such as LOLER and PUWER is highly advantageous.
