Mechanical Technician

Description:

Role & Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team to overhaul and repair Jenbacher Gas Engines in accordance with schedules and requirements.

• Identify and report any faults found during the overhaul of the engines, and the faults discovered during repair.

• Request parts from stock as necessary.

• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

• Supervise semi-skilled staff and apprentices involved with the overhauls and repairs.

• Follow and adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and regulations at all times.

• Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and tidy.

About you:

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:

• Good standard of Gas and Diesel Engine knowledge and technical understanding.

• Understanding of Health and Safety issues and requirements, including manual handling.

• Knowledge of safe working practises.

Essential

• Time served mechanical engineer, or extensive Jenbacher and/or gas engine experience.

• Experience of major overhauls on medium speed diesel or gas engines.

• Full driving license
