Description:
As a Wisely MobileService Technician, you'll travel nationwide performing servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on BMW and MINI EVs. This autonomous role suits a skilled, hardworking individual who is comfortable working long days, but not many of them! A unique opportunity to escape the workshop environment, working outdoors and interacting directly with lovely customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections and repairs on BMW i3s and (soon) other BMW EV product at customer locations.
- Identify and report advisory work to customers, carrying out any additional work requested where your itinerary allows.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using BMW’s official diagnostic tool, ISTA
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers, maintaining Wisely Automotive’s highest standards at all times.
- Provide customers with your ETA and keeping them informed of any changes in a timely manner.
- Adhere to high safety standards, especially regarding HV systems, to ensure the safety of you and customer’s vehicles.
- Keeping your MobileService van clean, tidy and well-organised to ensure a professional image and focused working environment.
- Maintaining your van’s stock of parts, tools and consumables to ensure no profit opportunity is missed.
- Travel an average of 175 miles per day with occasional overnight stays to maximise productivity.
- Visit our SE London base periodically for restocking, training and team meetings.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Existing BMW i3 servicing/repair expertise preferred; BMW main dealer experience is a plus.
- Certifications: BMW Level 3 EV & Hybrid training preferred, or equivalent with strong BMW experience & ISTA proficiency.
- Alternative Background: Experienced AA / RAC roadside technicians with BMW EV knowledge considered.
- Licence: Full, clean UK driving licence required.
- Location: Ideally near our base in SE London with secure off-street parking, though other arrangements may be possible.
