Panda Early Years Recruitment Agency is delighted to offer a Full-Time, Permanent opportunity for passionate and qualified Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioners in the Reading and Newbury areas. This role is ideal for individuals who are nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated to making a difference in children’s early developmental years.

This is an on-site position offering a competitive hourly rate of £15.00, along with a supportive working environment and room for professional growth. The role operates Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, from 8:30 am to 4:15 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver stimulating and age-appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS framework

• Ensure the safety, care, and well-being of all children at all times

• Observe, assess, and maintain records to support each child’s development

• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

• Promote physical, emotional, and social development through engaging learning experiences

• Contribute to creating a safe, clean, and inviting learning environment both indoors and outdoors

• Follow and implement safeguarding procedures, addressing concerns immediately

• Attend team meetings and staff training sessions as required

• Support the nursery team to deliver high standards of care and education

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)

• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development principles

• Good knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusive practices

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work as part of a collaborative and supportive team

• Proactive, reliable, and nurturing approach to childcare

• Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
